What is MedArc?

The purpose of MedArc is to empower patients to take a more active role in their own health care delivery.

MedArc is a web-based subscription service for storing and archiving patients medical records. Founded by two busy, full-time physicians, it fills the critical need for patients to access and present their medical record archives to their treating physicians. Their medical record archives consist of documents from many different locations.

Oftentimes, many physicians around the nation are forced to make critical health care decisions based on limited information - sometimes to the detriment of patient care.

Labs, radiology studies and sometimes invasive procedures are simply repeated because access to previous documents are simply not available in a timely fashion. This further drives up the total cost of our nation's health care expenditures.

The number of mobile, intelligent and responsible patients in this nation is growing. The level of patient and physician frustration is also growing. Patients recieve their health care from many different providers located throughout the nation. Patients often think that one physician often has access to all of these records from many different locations - which is simply not the case. Until now, there is no effective method of compiling their medical records into one concise database.

The ability to provide ready access to patients health care records empowers patients to actively participate in the management of their health care.
